Tess Riley moved to New Orleans in 2015 to study at Tulane University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in English and Communications. Tess has previously worked in both the hospitality industry and nonprofit sector, building skills in event planning, marketing, website management, and social media.
During her time at Bastion, Tess recently completed a Master’s degree in journalism from New York University through a remote graduate program. She enjoys writing as a freelance journalist, covering local stories for publications like AntiGravity and The Lens. Tess hopes to continue using her writing and storytelling skills to help share Bastion’s mission, communicate its impact, and honor the journeys of the veterans who call the Bastion community home.
